The Routeburn Track is said to be one of the most strenuous Great Walks. But if you are reasonably fit you can easily make it in 2 days. The way from the Divine to Glenorchy is a little bit easier and I would recommend to do the Routeburn Track this way. When the weather is good do not forget to do the side trips to the key summit and especially onto the Conical Hill!

The Routeburn Track is one of the Great Walks and in the summer month you have to book a place in the huts. In winter you don´t have to pre-book, just take the hut-passes with you and leave them at the huts!!

You can find more information about the track and booking on the official website of the department of conservation: http://www.doc.govt.nz/Explore/

The Routeburn Track can be combined with some other tracks in the area to get a round trip.
